Sunday Shandia Collins-Ely
Programming Coordinator Ms. Ely, is a 20 something year old tenacious young lady hailing from SouthEast San Diego, California. Right over there on Imperial and 65th street. She is a faith acting, meditation practicing, focused Capricorn, who also embraces femininity and Black consciousness. Upon spring 2013, Ms. Ely will have graduated Berkeley with a degree in Media Studies and a minor in Portuguese. Ms. Ely is driven and ecstatic to be a team member of the ABC conference 2012. She brings experience of the following: Vice President of the San Diego Youth Action Board (non-profit organization) acquiring funding and producing countless activities/parties including the SoCal step show. Experience in participating in the National Association of Black Journalist annual convention in San Diego, CA (the JetLab project and Conference preparation). Experience in Politics: participating in the 2008 Presidential Election (registering Hampton, VA residents to vote . . . and being Public Relations Director of the Black Student Union at UC Berkeley). She also brings to this conference an extensive knowledge around multimedia. Broadcasting, print, web design, professionalism and various other insights that will add to the overall flow of the conference. Upon graduation, Ms. Ely intends to pursue a career as a international Media producer. Which will allow her to be a world traveler, educator, writer, entrepreneur and philanthropist. One of her ultimate goals is to own controlling stock (51 percent) in her international company Zion magazine.
