                    Kaycee Hasan 
                    Secretary of the Black Student Union


                    Kaycee Hasan, a native of Oakland, California, is currently a Senior at the University of California, Berkeley, double majoring in Afrikan American Studies and Social Welfare. For the 2011-2012 school year, Kaycee serves as the Secretary for the Black Student Union on campus and is assisting with the Afrikan Black Coalition Conference 2012. Kaycee is heavily influenced by both black men and women who have been instrumental to the black freedom struggle of the world and is committed to teaching their stories to the young children of Oakland who don't get to hear them. Kaycee aspires to use all knowledge and skills that which she acquires to help empower and propel the black community (particularly  the youth) forward through education and service learning initiatives.
