| Darrin Wallace
Director of Swag Darrin Jaeson Wallace. His other middle name? SWAG. He serves as this years Director of Swag, which seems as something he was born to do. Ever since his catholic school uniform days, in which he was disenfranchised by the stiff polo shirts and husky fitted slacks, Wallace constantly expresses his sense of fashion and inspires others to do the same. He says "Swag isn't putting on an outfit and walking outside and getting a compliment. Swag is putting on an outfit and walking outside and getting a compliment EVERYDAY." He has been in fashion blogs, press releases, private brand exhibits, and praised with likes on Facebook. As the assistant Backstock Coordinator/ Assistant Visual Merchandiser at American Apparel, Wallace plans to use his experience to make sure ABC this year is dripping with swagg-goo. Wallace is a second year Media Studies, African American Studies Double-Major, born during the cold winter days of New York City, but raised in the warm streets of West LA. He is on board for the Collegiate 100, African Black Coalition: Northern Region, Dance Junta, and is also a mentor in Berkeley Scholars to CAL, a program designed to offer accelerated minority students a pro-active and encouraging after school program. Wallace is extremely excited to be on this years ABC board, and can not wait to please all of the soon to visit, UC students. |
