Public Relations Director of the Black Student Union Greetings and salutations! Darion Wallace hais from the great city of Inglewood, CA and is currently a Junior at the University of California, Berkeley studying Rhetoric with a minor in African-American Studies and Education. During the academic year he is involved with the Black Student Union (Public Relations Director), Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Epsilon Chapter (Vice-President, Director of Intake and Northern California Assistant District Director) and is the African American Theme Program Resident Assistant for the 2011-2012 school year. In his spare time he enjoys listening to music, photography, eating, sleeping, play video games and spending time with his love ones and friends.
Ever since his freshman year at Cal, he has been involved with ABC by both participating in the conference and organizing the logistics of his community's safe travel to the conference. Nevertheless, the anticipation makes him, and the rest of the Cal Black community, ecstatic about the 2012 ABC conference being hosted at UC Berkeley. He recognizes that this conference has the efficacy to be a strong political body for Black/African-American students across the UC system to make the necessary changes that we all ever so desire, as well as foster and strengthen relations amongst students who attend the conference to catalyze a Black UC network during and beyond college. In order to make ABC 2012 the most memorable, inspirational and cultivating experience in this conference's history, he recognizes that it will take all of our hard-work, commitment and engagement. In conclusion, he would just like to say that he looks forward to meeting and fellowshipping with each and every one of you in the spring. |
